BENEFITS

Protect Personnel

Deck personnel operating in adverse sea conditions can get warning from the bridge, if a large wave is detected in the area by WaveVision™. This would allow time for personnel to seek safety or suspend deck activity in case the wave impacts the vessel.

Warnings While Steaming

While steaming, the operator can set wave height thresholds within WaveVision™ to alert of waves above that specified height.  If a large wave is detected in the area, a general warning can be issued advising personnel to brace and/or allow time to adjust ship speed or direction to lessen impact.

WaveVision™ delivers high resolution wave maps provide a real-time map of the wavefield out up to 2km, providing a visual representation of all conditions surrounding a vessel that cannot be supplied by wave buoys or traditional wave radar.

Visualize Waves on a Specific Trajectory

A unique graphing display allows users to choose a particular transect to visualize waves across the chosen path.

Remote Viewing and Control

sigma S6 WaveVision™ allows ability to view and control the system remotely from multiple locations with options to operate under low bandwidth conditions when necessary.

Alarm on Detected Large Waves

WaveVision™ indicates an alarm when a wave is detected in range of the system that is higher than the operator specified limits.

Data Recording

sigma S6 WaveVision™ provides recording options to capture on-screen activity as images, a video recording, or a low-level capture of radar data that can be used at a later date (as if live) for training or in-depth analysis.
