WaveSignal™ :: Overview
BENEFITS
Reduce Risk and Improve Safety
Reduce the risk associated with offshore operations that are impacted by wave conditions. WaveSignal™ predicts when larger waves, outside of safe operating parameters, are going to impact. Safe operating windows are communicated through a simple light/timer system, allowing for better informed decisions to safely conduct an operation.
Increase Operational Efficiency
Position in-water sensors, ROVs, etc. with confidence and precision. The prediction of quiet periods in wave activity greatly improves the likelihood of successful deployments, increasing efficiency and reducing costs.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Now, it’s possible to look into the future to predict wave activity. WaveSignal™ takes situational awareness to a whole different level.
- As a ‘bolt-on’ to most industry-standard marine radar, WaveSignal™ gives the user visibility into wave activity up to 180 seconds in advance.
- WaveSignal™ predicts when quiet periods will occur for your operation.
- A simple red or green light lets operators know, at a glance whether it’s safe to resume activities.
FEATURES
Quiet Period Prediction
sigma S6 WaveSignal allows operators to set operational windows including the maximum wave height and duration of time required to execute an operation. The system monitors the sea surface, providing an intuitive light and timer system to let you know when a safe window will occur.
Remote Deck Signal Panel
The optional Remote Deck Signal Panel relays the light and timer display for use on-deck away from the main WaveSignal control display.
Remote Viewing and Control
sigma S6 WaveSignal allows ability to view and control the system remotely from multiple locations with options to operate under low bandwidth conditions when necessary.
Data Recording
sigma S6 WaveSignal provides recording options to capture on-screen activity as images, a video recording, or a low-level capture of the radar data that can be used at a later date as if live for training or in-depth analysis.
