UK Polar Research Vessel, RRS Sir David Attenborough, adds Rutter sigma S6 Ice, Oil, and Wave Monitoring radar capabilities

Rutter’s high definition radar data processing software is being added to the British Antarctic Survey’s new state-of-the-art Polar Research Vessel, the RRS Sir David Attenborough. The ship, owned by the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) is currently under construction at the Cammell Laird Birkenhead shipyard in Liverpool, UK.

Rutter delivers Oil Spill Detection system for port monitoring in Saudi Arabia

Rutter Inc. has announced the delivery of their sigma S6 Oil Spill Detection to a port in Saudi Arabia. Rutter’s system will be fully integrated by the port’s Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) provider to add environmental protection capabilities to their traffic management system. Rutter’s technology is currently being integrated into the system, with full deployment in 2018.

Statoil Canada and Provincial Government invest in harsh environment technology innovation with Rutter

Rutter Inc. has announced the successful completion of a collaborative initiative with Statoil Canada Ltd. and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador. The joint effort to improve offshore oil and gas operations in harsh environments with ice conditions resulted in the development of new remote sensing technology used in the automatic detection and tracking of ice.

Rutter to supply Teekay Offshore with Ice Navigator™ and WaMoS®II systems

St. John’s, NL - Rutter Inc. has confirmed that they will supply Teekay Offshore with multiple sigma S6 Ice Navigator™ radar systems and WaMoS®II Wave and Current Measurement systems for use on three newbuild shuttle tankers slotted to service the Hibernia, White Rose, Hebron, and Terra Nova oil fields.
